Toon Outline and Circle Highlight Shader
Looking back at my past experimentation, this time I've looked through and experimented more on adding toon shade and the circle highlight feature from maya and mental ray renders. Now that the character's toon outlines are edited to a thicker version, the result in terms of comic style and cartoon aesthetics looked similar to my past rotoscope experiments and this method is also fast and time efficient.

Rotoscope Testing
Testing the rotoscope effect from my pre-composited animation from earlier to give that 2D effect on a 3D pre-rendered animation background.
Ink Bleed with Character Red Composition
Testing the Ink Bleed effect with the main character "Red" in composition with a rendered character animation in 24fps.
Ink Bleed Testing (After Effects)
I've made the brush and converted it as a .png from Photoshop and
applied a Luma Matte effect in After effects to give that Ink Bleed effect.
From the experimentation of the ink splat and cel shade composition earlier, in comparison to it I have found this method more effective in terms of aesthetics for the animation.

It turned out pretty good but it needs a bit of more effect into it...
